About

Hi,

Thank you for taking out the time to visit my website, you may have landed on my site and wondered who is behind this brand.

My name is Natalie, I am the founder of "Fixed By Gellats". Three years ago I trained to be a nail technician, it was only then that I discover why in the past my nails were so weak when removing my acrylics. In my studies, I learnt that our natural nails have layers, those layers are delicate, they should be treated with care and that excessive filing will only leave the nails weak. Each time I was having my nails done, a drill was used to file my nail beds and sometimes even my cuticles. Sadly this did not stop me from going back because each time I decided that I would take a break from the acrylics, my natural nails were paper-thin and would break, since I hated short nails I would go back to the nail salon to get them done again, it was a vicious circle and continued for years! But eventually, I stopped, I was worried that my nails would be damaged to the point of no return.

Can you relate? Many have said that they have experienced the same thing and have been scared to try press on nails for this reason. Rest assured that if you apply and remove them with care, your natural nails will not be damaged.

I started making press on nails in 2020,  before that, I was a part-time mobile nail technician and part-time carer. During the lockdown, I started to make press on nails I was so happy when I received my first customer and  5-star review on Google and all reviews have been 5-stars since and I have gained some amazing loyal customers.

As a part-time carer, press-on nails is so ideal for me, it means that I can wear them when I'm not working and take them off before going back to work, without damaging or weakening my nails. This may be something you can relate to. Many mums have said that the press on nails is great for them, one mum said " they are perfect for when I want to be glam and easy to take them off when its time to return to mum duties". Some of my customers like myself can't wear nails to work and love the flexibility press on nails give them. Knowing that I am fixing so many nail problems brings me great joy, and I hope to "fix" yours too.
